Dessert is the scraped skin of oranges
bulbous beneath the veil of sprightful blossoms
with a splattering of edible flowers
like a May Queen that fucks in the tall field grass
blindfolded with ivory lace
in the spring of sweet and fetid marsh
under the watchful guard of wasps.
